Music Video
A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Music videos differ from other moving imagery as they are produced for visual pleasure and are often not in made in any particular order.
One Directions video to their song 'Best Song Ever', is a prime example of the function of a music video. A lack of chronological order, constant camera focus on the band and glamorised locations allow this video to directly appeal to its target audience, enticing visual pleasure.
